Professor John Neoptolemos from the university of Heidelberg in Germany, professor William Greenhalf from the university of Liverpool in the United Kingdom, professor Jin he and Jun yu from Johns Hopkins university in the United States, professor Wataru Kimura from the affiliated hospital of yamagata university in Japan, Professor Yutaka Kondo from Nagoya university in Japan, professor Wang chunyou from Xiehe Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, professor Yang yinmo from the first hospital of Peking University, and professor Lou wenhui from the zhongshan hospital affiliated to fudan university in Shanghai attended the conference.
     The conference reviewed the development of pancreatic surgery in the past, focused on the current hot topic of pancreatic disease treatment, and looked into the future of pancreatic surgery:Professor John Neoptolemos gave a talk entitled "What have we learnt from ESPAC?”; William Greenhalf gave a talk entitled "Comprehensive Therapy for Pancreatic Cancer"; Professor Jin He gave a presentation entitled "Pancreatic cancer: are we making progress?"; Professor Yu Jun made titled "Circulating tumor cells and Circulating tumor DNA as biomarkers to predict prognosis and monitor treatment response in patients with pancreatic cancer" speech; Professor Wataru Kimura gave a talk entitled "Comprehensive therapy for pancreatic cancer"; Professor Yutaka Kondo gave a speech about "Long non-coding RNA as a novel therapeutic target in cancers"; Professor Yi Miao, President of the conference and chairman of the society of pancreatology of jiangsu medical association, performed a presentation about “ARTERY DIVESTment for Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer”.

     The conference promoted the standardized diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic surgery through MDT method. Doctors from various disciplines commented on the cases together to provide the most comprehensive treatment plan from their respective professional fields, bringing the participants a multidisciplinary presentation.
