During the 102nd Annual Meeting of American College of Surgeons (ACS) held in Washington of the United States from October 16 to October 20, Professor Jiang Kuirong, Deputy Director of our Center, was successfully admitted as a new fellow of this year, and attended the initiation ceremony for new fellows.

The time-honored ACS has hosted 102 annual meetings since its establishment in 1913, and remains as one of the most influential academic surgical organizations in the world. The 102nd annual meeting was themed as "Challenges for the Second Century" and covered multiple disciplines and fields.

ACS's fellowship is highly recognized by the international academic circle, and there are only dozens of general surgeon fellows in China. ACS has a rigorous system for admitting a new fellow, who shall be recommended by 6 ACS Fellows and thoroughly reviewed and investigated before being admitted.
