On February 26, on the provincial science and technology award ceremony held by Jiangsu CPPCC, the Pancreas Center lead by Prof. Miao Yi won the First Prize of 2015 Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards with its program "Innovation of Key Diagnosis and Treatment Techniques for Pancreatic Cancer and Its Application". Luo Zhijun (Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee), Shi Taifeng (Governor of Jiangsu Province) and Zhang Lianzhen (Chairman of Jiangsu CPPCC) attended the Conference and presented awards to the winners.
In recent years, led by Prof. Miao Yi, the Pancreas Center actively carried out a series of internationally leading surgical diagnosis and treatment techniques for pancreatic diseases, including modified duct-to-mucosa pancreaticojejunostomy and enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS). It also proposed Nanjing Standard of arterial invasion of pancreatic cancer, and drove further development of the Center and the Department through innovations. As a result, our Center's program "Innovation of Key Diagnosis and Treatment Techniques for Pancreatic Cancer and Its Application" was highly praised by Chinese Medical Association and Jiangsu Province, winning the Second Prize of the 2015 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards on January 30, the First Prize of the 2015 Jiangsu Provincial Medical Science and Technology Awards on January 17, and the First Prize of the 2015 Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards on January 26, respectively.
