The 46th Annual Meeting of American Pancreatic Association (APA) was held in San Diego of California on November 4, 2015. Hundreds of experts and scholars from 23 countries were invited to attend the Meeting, including the scholars from world-famous pancreas centers like Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, Mayo Clinic, University of Heidelberg, University of Munich and Kyoto University.
Professor Miao Yi from our Center was invited to deliver an expert lecture on pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer together with five professors including Professor Chari from Mayo Clinic, Professor Conwell from Ohio University and Professor Mayerle from University of Greifswald. They also attended the Q&A link.
13 posters of our Center were selected to be displayed during the Meeting. We were the one with most selected posters, which enhanced our academic status in the international pancreas surgery field.
During the Meeting, Professor Miao Yi exchanged with Professor Strobel from University of Heiderberg, Professor Werner from University of Munich, Professor Neoptolemos from University of Liverpool, Professor Feng from MD Andson Cancer Center and Professor Castillo from Massachusetts General Hospital about the current pancreas foundation and clinical situation, fully displaying our strength on the international pancreas platform.
