Statistics of the Quantity of Pancreatic Operations in the First Half of 2015

A total of 253 pancreatic operations of various sorts were performed in the Pancreas Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January to June 2015. There are 122 cases of pancreaticoduodenectomy (PPPD/PD), 55 cases of distal pancreatectomy (DP), 11 cases of middle segment pancreatectomy (MD), 2 cases of total pancreatectomy (TD), 5 cases of partial pancreatectomy, 7 cases of pancreatic pseudocyst drainage, 3 cases of necrotizing pancreatitis evacuation drainage, 38 cases of combined multiple organs / vessels resection, 11 cases of laparoscopic pancreatic operations. A total of 122 cases of pancreatic carcinoma patients were diagnosed and treated in the Center from January to June 2015. There are 81 cases of pancreatectomy, of which the success rate is as high as 65.85%, including 52 cases of PPPD/PD (27 cases of PD and 25 cases of PPPD), 28 cases of DP, 1 case of TP, and 41 cases of other internal drainage operations. For cases of benign tumors of / borderline malignant tumors of pancreas, a total of 34 cases were performed from January to June 2015, including 5 cases of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN), 14 cases of solid pseudopapillary tumor, 9 cases of Fm, and 6 cases of mucinous cystadenoma (MCN). For pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, a total of 11 cases were performed from January to June 2015, including 1 case of GI-phase, 8 cases of G2-phase, and 2 cases of G3-phase. The quantity of pancreatic operations realized steady growth in comparison with the same period of last year, and the quantity throughout the year is expected to create a new record high!
