The pancreas center biobank of the first affiliated hospital of nanjing medical university was honored to invite professor William Greenhalf from the university of Liverpool to visit the biobank. This is professor Greenhalf's second visit as our biobank consultant.

The second World Pancreas Forum on June 22, 2017 was held in Bern, Switzerland. With the invitation of the conference, prof. miao yi, Fellow of American College of Surgeons and royal college of surgeons of the United Kingdom, attended the conference together with Dr. Xiao bin, deputy director of the center and Dr. Lu zipeng.

From May 9 to 12, our biobank staff Dr.Tian Lei attended the ISBER 2017 annual conference held in Toronto, capital of Canada. ISBER, the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories, is one of the most influential biobank organizations in the world.

Deputy director of our center, professor Jiang Kuirong, stood out from more than 1,700 medical workers and won the title of "outstanding contributions of Chinese young doctors in 2016-2017", only three of which won the title nationwide.
